Notice For the 2020 Winter Academic Program of the University of Cambridge, UK

With a noble academic status and wide influence, the University of Cambridge is considered as one of the top universities in the today’s world. It ranks second in the 2019 THE-QS World University Rankings.

In order to improve the international competitiveness of our students, expand their international horizons, and give them an opportunity to experience the education in the world’s top university, the college will organize students to participate in the 2020 Winter Academic Program of the University of Cambridge. The details are as follows:

Dates:

9th to 23rd February, 2020 (2 weeks)

Program Description:

The winter program is an official Cambridge college course program hosted by the Corpus Christi College, St Catharine's College and Lucy Cavendish College of the University of Cambridge. The courses are designed and taught by renowned professors of the university, scholars and entrepreneurs. The theme of this program is innovation and entrepreneurship, inspiring students with interactions and case studies. The program will help students to master core professional knowledge and logic while learning in different scenes, preparing for the future academic and professional career. The courses include core and coaching courses of the major, visits and exchange activities in different institutes, extended lecture courses and team work project (refer to Enclosure 1 for detailed arrangements and course settings).

    Upon finishing all the courses and passing the examination, students will receive certificates of completion from related colleges of the University of Cambridge as well as grade reports of the courses after the program.

Maximum Number of Participants:

30 people

Requirements for Participants:

1. Registered full-time undergraduates, full-time masters, full-time MBAs, and full-time PhD students in our college (except for all graduating classes);

2. Have a good English basis and have no difficulty in English-delivered courses.

3. Physically healthy and have no disciplinary wrongdoings.

4. The college will choose the most suitable applicants according to their language skills and order of application. Students who have full attendance for the “ Training Camp of Improving Students’ International Competitiveness Hosted by the College of Management” will be preferred.

 

Application Fees:

The application fees are 2,850 pounds (about 25,517 yuan), including fees for the courses, insurance, accommodation, most of the dining (refer to the Enclosure 1 for details), internet service, medical service in local hospitals, group activity, airport pickup service and subway pass. International round-trip tickets, visa fee, international wire transfer fee of domestic bank and personal expense in Britain are not included.

Students enrolled in the program will receive a program subsidy of 5,000 yuan from the college. The subsidy will be sent after the program according to the related policies and process of the Subsidy Plan of the College of Management for Students Participating in Overseas Exchange Program.

Note:

1. After being enrolled, please apply for passport immediately. Students who fail to get their passports before December 20th will not be allowed to participate in this program.

2. Passport must be valid after March 1st, 2021, otherwise please reapply for a new one.

Please download and fill out the Application Form for Students' Short-term Overseas Exchange Program of the College of Management, Jilin University ( Enclosure 2). Applicants should bring the form as well as the copy of certificate of foreign language proficiency to room 219 of the College of Management.
