The Final of the Second China-South Korea Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Marathon Successfully Held in Jilin University

On August 22nd, 2019, the Second China-South Korea Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Marathon was successfully held in the Dingxin library of the central campus. The event was jointly hosted by the College of Management of Jilin University, International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Jilin University, the Confucius Institute of Hanyang University and the Entrepreneurship Supporting Team of Hanyang University. Dean of the College of Management Li Beiwei, deputy dean Fan Xuemei, deputy director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department Bai Yin attended the event. Judges of the competition are teachers from the College of Management of Jilin University as well as Hanyang University. The official language of the event is English.

Firstly, dean of the college Li Beiwei made a speech at the opening ceremony of the competition. On behalf of the College of Management, he expressed warm welcome to the delegation of Hanyang University and reviewed the background of the cooperation between the two sides. The dean also introduced the achievements the college had made in entrepreneurship education and competition and said he was very glad to attend this event, wishing all participants great results in the competition. After the speech, Li Beiwei, dean of the college, exchanged gifts with Professor Bae Tae Jun from Hanyang University.

The Second China-South Korea Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Marathon consists of two parts held in Hanyang University and Jilin University respectively. In July, 2019, the College of Management selected and sent 15 students to take part in the semifinal held in Hanyang University, in which 5 teams were given the opportunity to participate in the final held in Jilin University. The 5 teams showed their business plans respectively in areas including clothing, community services, cosmetics and tourism. They not only made excellent reports on their business plans, but also performed well when answering questions from the judges.

At the end of the competition, the "Natural People" group consisting of Huang Shan, an undergraduate student from the College of Management Grade 2017, and HUR KYESUN, a student from Hanyang University, won the first prize. The second and third prize went to SCAN ME and UNI Care respectively. World Guobaorou and Boom won the Award of Excellence.
