The Research Center for Big Data Management of Jilin University was founded in June 2016, which incorporates the backbone scholars of big data management and application of School of Management of JLU as its main body, and assembles resources of School of Management and foreign guest professors, for the purpose of facilitating talent development in the field of big data and inter-disciplinary scientific research in the big data era. The Research Center employs research foundation and advantages of existing disciplines in the field of big data and relevant areas such as information resource management, management decision model and methodology, innovation and entrepreneurship, scientific and technological policies and services, information ecosystem, etc., and carries out research on “big data management and application”. It has five research focuses, i.e.,: big data and innovation of business model, management decision model and methodology driven by big data, big data asset management and governing mechanism, service innovation in the big data era, business eco-system and business strategy in the big data era. The Research Center mainly sets foot in scientific research and services related to “big data management and application”, and cooperate with Department of Industry and Information Technology of Jilin Province, and FAW-Qiming Information Technology Co., Ltd. in an all-round manner to address the actual demands of regional economic development of Jilin Province, and jointly promote relevant work of the Research Center.
